Aviation
The Scully refueler overfill prevention system features electro-optic sensors that can be adjusted in length for shutdown level requirements. In addition, the system offers heavy-duty sockets for refuelers, and an on-board control unit to control functions such as audible alarm units, plus bottom loading or defueling shutdown controls. Scully aviation systems have been standard equipment on U.S. Navy refuelers and Air Force R-11 refuelers for over five years. The systems are also in use in the commercial aviation market.

Chemical
Scully's Scul-Lock® Cam & Groove Couplings are used throughout the chemical industry. There are numerous reasons why: the self-locking coupler (the handles lock automatically when engaged and must be manually released for disconnect) is well-known and regarded for its durability and simplicity; the coupling body protects handles and other parts from impact, plus is vibration and shock resistant; and, the hose shank is specially designed for better retention for today's chemical hoses. Also, in combination with stainless steel sensors, which Scully has, Scully overfill protection systems are applicable and in use throughout the liquid chemical industry.

Government / Municipalities
Most government agencies and municipalities have a fleet of buses or trucks of some number. Scully Automated Fueling System® (SAFS®) is an advanced, fully-automated, fuel management system. The entire system activates when the nozzle is placed into a vehicle's fuel pipe. The vehicle and fuel type information, plus odometer and hour meter readings are automatically communicated to the system controller. The transaction is automatically terminated when the nozzle is removed from the fill pipe, thereby eliminating accidental spills and fuel shrinkage. Every ounce of product dispensed is accounted for without the use of cards, keys, or manual entries.

The SAFS system is offered in two configurations, one, for land-based stationary fueling stations, and two, for mobile refueler trucks. Scully SafTrak® management and reporting software comes in a flat ASCII format for easy access to third party software, and provides vital reports on daily fuel dispensing, fuel inventory reconciliation, and vehicle maintenance. In essence, SAFS helps fleet management operations become more secure, streamlined, and profitable.

Since Scul-Lock® Cam & Groove Couplings are manufactured in the U.S. to MIL-C-27487 and A.S.T.M. F-1122-87 specifications, they are widely bought and used by the U.S. military. The Scul-Lock self-locking coupler is well-known and regarded for its durability and simplicity. The handles lock automatically when engaged and must be manually released for disconnect. The coupling body protects handles and other parts from impact, and is vibration and shock resistant. The hose shank is specially designed for better retention in today's chemical hoses.

Also, Scully's Electronic Tank Truck Systems provide Dynamic Self-Checking® overfill protection, as well as grounding verification for military tank trucks and rail tank cars that carry/haul petroleum and liquid chemicals. IntelliCheck®2, an on-board overfill prevention and retained product monitoring system for tank trucks and refuelers, is the flagship of Scully's Electronic Truck Product line that features Dynacheck®, Scully's patented, automatic and continuous self-checking circuitry.

Petroleum
Whether it is for controlling fills, eliminating spills, or both, all Scully systems: Automated Fueling, Electronic Automatic Reorder, Cam & Groove Couplings, Petroleum Product Delivery. Terminal Equipment, Truck Equipment and Storage Tank Equipment, in one form or another, can and do service petroleum based products.

Railroad (Tankers)
Scully provides both fixed and portable overfill prevention systems, as well as ground verification systems for the loading and transportation of petroleum and/or liquid chemicals in rail tankers. These systems all Dynacheck®, Scully's patented, automatic and continuous self-checking circuitry.

Retail Fuel Delivery
It all started with a whistle - otherwise known as the Scully Ventalarm® - which revolutionized the oil delivery business. With a whistling that could be heard from outside the house and stopped when a home heating tank was full, the Ventalarm eliminated the necessity of someone being home when the delivery person came. It prevented spills, and maintained the competitive position of home heating oil versus gas and electrical utilities. Invented in 1936 by Frank P. Scully I, an M.I.T. graduate and entrepreneur, the first Scully Ventalarms were manufactured in his garage in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Soon thereafter these devices were being manufactured in Scully's present manufacturing site in Wilmington, Massachusetts. If your home is oil-heated, chances are its oil tank is outfitted with Scully Signal Company's original product - the Ventalarm. Over the next six decades, Scully has launched a whole series of fuel oil delivery products, including gauges, tightfill connectors, delivery nozzles, as well as engine speed, flow and overfill protection controls. Together these products improve petroleum delivery efficiency by controlling fills and eliminating spills.

Also, Scully has a fleet fuel management system that provides fleet managers with the necessary tools to make fleet operations more secure, streamlined, and profitable. That system is called Scully Automated Fueling System® or SAFS®. SAFS is an advanced, fully-automated, fuel management system. The entire system activates when the nozzle is placed into a vehicle's fuel pipe. The vehicle and fuel type information, plus odometer and hour meter readings are automatically communicated to the system controller.
